I have played countless of hands of twenty-one. I began working my way into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have played online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent a lot of money at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this method or beat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is centered on the fact that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely enjoyable at times. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a couple of years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this tactic! And a couple of months ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar game.
Bet five dollar
Take $5 paid to you, leave the original five dollar wager
Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Wager $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet
Wager ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original forty dollar wager
Bet forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80
Wager $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the first eighty dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160
Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar bet
If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
