I have wagered on millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still spent a lot of cash at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a regular basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get loaded with this method or defeat the casino, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that 21 appears to be a match of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I wager with basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely exciting on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a couple of years back with $750 after 20 mins using this technique! And a few months ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you see playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.

Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager
Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $10 wager
Wager $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the original $20 wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $80 wager
Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager
If you departed at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s iffy to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
