I have bet on millions of hands of blackjack. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of bankroll at 21. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the game.
I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get flush with this method or beat the house, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of streaks. When you are hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original sum.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets extremely enjoyable at times. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Wynn a number of years back with $750 after 30 minutes using this technique! And a couple of days ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can lose a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager five dollar
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the original $5 wager
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the original 20 dollar wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $40
Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 bet
Bet $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original $80 wager
Wager $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $160 bet
If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and lower your wager or the final result will not be the same.
